The luxury cocoa grower and chocolatier, which was founded in the UK in 2004, has branched out into beauty – and its new range is impressive.
The range is inspired by the Hotel Chocolat’s cocoa plantation, Rabot Estate. A 250 year old estate that was restored over 4 years before opening a hotel and restaurant within the cocoa groves.
The beauty range, divided into four categories and is inspired by the brands love for Saint Lucia, the people and the vegetation.
The categories – cleanse, exfoliate, nourish and refresh, consists of body scrubs, hand creams, body oils, lip balms, fragrance and many more. I had the opportunity of trying out the sugar and sour orange body scrub and the cacao and almond bath and body oil. Two products that compliment each other really well.
The bath scrub, fragrant with the smell of orange and tangerine and enriched with shea butter, organ oil and jojoba oil making a perfect and refreshing bath scrub. Not only does it feel great on the body, it also leaves your skin soft and moisturised after a bath. A plus with London’s hard water that usually leaves your skin so dry and in need a lot of moisturiser.
The reusable coffee cup – crafted from bamboo, corn fibre and wood fibre – is 75% biodegradable and has been inspired by the pods grown on the Rabot Estate.
You can take your Rabot 1745 reusable cup into any Hotel Chocolat cafe nationwide for 50p off a hot drink or visit them at Rabot Borough Market for any hot drink completely free of charge.
