A MANS GUIDE TO PLANNING A STYLISH WEDDING

As a guy, you may think that when it comes to planning your wedding you won’t get that much of a say. Well, I have news for, it’s true. There is very little that you can do to make your wedding stylish. Actually, that’s not true. There is very little you will be allowed to do to make your wedding stylish. A lot of the wedding planning will be taken up by your partner. At a certain point, you’ll just be along for the ride. But, there are little things that you will get an input in so let’s look at a few of those. All these things will be dealt with after you propose with the perfect engagement ring. If you haven’t already chosen the ring, you’re in luck. I’ve got an article about that you can view.

PICKING THE VENUE

You might have an idea of where you want to get married and the type of venue. But, typically the bride will get the final say. After all, traditionally the bride’s parents are paying for the whole thing so it only seems fair. If you have a less traditional wedding, you might get more of an input. I recommend letting sentiment lead the way here. Pick the venue that warms your heart as you walk inside.

INVITING THE GUESTS

After you select the venue, you will have a date for your wedding. That’s when you can start writing and sending out the invites. You can organise wedding invites by Paper Themes that will make your wedding look stylish straight away. The designs are excellent and you can choose the type of format that you would like. You will get a choice on the type of invitations but I suspect you’ll be limited on who you get to invite. Brace yourself for the names of some of your guests being crossed off the list, particularly if they are ladies from your past.

CHOOSING YOUR SUIT

Of course, you will want a tailor made custom, designer suit for your wedding day. You want it to fit perfectly as well as getting the right accessories to go with it. For instance, you will need to get a good set of cufflinks and a stunning, silk tie.

You will also have to choose what your best man will be wearing. His tie must match the colour of the maid of honour’s dress. It’s best to let your partner choose her girl’s dresses first and then you and your best man can choose your own wear.

An extra tip is to choose a best man whom you can depend on. This might not be your favourite friend but it will be the one who doesn’t let you down on one of the most important days of your life.

PICKING THE CAKE

Perhaps one of the last things you will get to choose is the cake and the wedding menu. At the very least, you’ll get to choose half the cake so there is some of it that you can enjoy. Wedding cakes are awesome because you can get different flavours on each layer, so there is always one you will love.

You might get a say in the song you dance to and the seating arrangement. But, apart from that, your job is done. Don’t worry though. Your wedding will look incredibly stylish and I know you will remember it for the rest of your life.
